Provide excellent customer service, “How can I assist you today?”
Offer more customer service, did you find everything?
It messes up their comfort level to steal.
Keep watchful eyes on expensive, attractive, “got to have it” merchandise.
Cabinets and cases have locks on them for a reason, use them!
See something that was not right? Text your manager with the details.

Safety guards should never be disabled even if it is easier.
Spills need to be cleaned up quickly before someone gets hurt, now that was easy.
Lock out, tag out
100% of the time.
Skipping a safety rule usually results in an injury. Stay safe my friend.

Gotta have these things done everyday…
Scan every item and don’t miss any.
Keep the big cash out of the registers in case you are robbed so they get less. Call for a money pull.
Thinking about giving your BFF a discount on the price?
Will they still be your BFF when you are caught? Doubt it.
An employee that asks you to lower a price is not really a friend. Peer pressure can make you do dumb things sometimes.

What can YOU do if there is a robbery?
Stay calm, or at least pretend to.
Do what they ask, they just want the money and get out of there.
Be a good witness, Height, weight, tattoos, clothing etc.
Can’t think of a reason to be an action hero here. Comply with their results and they will leave quickly.

Cash controls start with…

• Watching for counterfeit money.
• Reducing the amount of cash in the till in case of robbery, call for a money pull.
• Keeping an eye out when the till is open to prevent a quick grab of cash.
• Counting the change back to the customer.
• Never loaning your superiors keys out.

Back injuries are a pain!

• Stretch before lifting, warm up!
• Lift with your legs, not your back.
• If it looks too heavy, ask for help.
• Use a mechanical truck if available.
• Put the pressure on your muscle, not your spine.

Use the Hotline Number when…

• You know an employee is stealing.
• You see inappropriate conduct.
• You would prefer not to be identified.
• But, you just had to do the right thing and call.

With a whooping budget of around $152 million dollars and some, the upcoming movie – The Avengers by Joss Whedon has been creating a whole lot of media buzz recently while still in post-production. Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and Gwyneth Paltrow get together as a team to repel an alien invasion… or was that total destruction of the earth by super strong aliens with near god abilities? Whatever the storyline turns out to be, it is still too early to tell.

Lightning is caused by positive and negative charge differences in a cloud. When this so-called “charge-difference” try to correct itself to become neutral again, a stunning show of light and electricity is displayed in the form of lightning and thunder. The sooner you hear a thunder roar after a flash, the closer the lightning-storm is. If you hear it in less than 5 seconds, you are in serious danger and need to find shelter immediately. Very little is know about lightning actually even if it hits the earth more than a billion times a year. We can only avoid it for our own safety.

The National Weather Service (NWS) releases safety measures and best practices during every peak season, normally during the summer season. You might want to check it out!

This metal fairy (elf) will sit elegantly in a garden, don’t you agree? The level of craftsmanship and detail is really amazing. Production time of such pieces is 2-3 months and we can see why. Simply amazing!

The only thing this dragon can do now is spit fire! The amount of work on this thing must be phenomenal.

By far my favorite. Look how majestic this deer looks…

Look at the size of this metal T-Rex. That’s an actual 8 meter long dinosaur! (notice the giant behind) According to the artist’s friend, the pieces can be broken down into smaller parts for easy transportation.

He also makes custom metal art as per a drawing or an idea. Very creative if you ask me! You can learn more here

To commemorate her upcoming birthday, New Jersey artist Joseph Corrado designed the “Come Be My Light” poster under the patronage of Hoboken’s Gregory Dell’Aquila. This poster now appears in thousands of senior homes and orphanages across the country and hopefully, it will be on sale soon.
